From a quick men's cut to full bridal styling – we take the time to do it right. Prices are guiding and depend on hair length and time spent.
Women's cut
Cut, wash and blow-dry tailored to your hair type and face shape. From NOK 650.
Men's cut
Clipper and scissors, beard trim on request. Great as a drop-in. From NOK 450.
Colouring and highlights
Full colour, highlights and balayage with gentle products. From NOK 1,200.
Bridal styling
Trial session and styling on the day, at your place if you wish. Fixed price by arrangement.
Kids' cut
Calm and safe for the little ones. From NOK 350 for children under 12.

About us
A family salon with a Tromsø heart
Salong Nordlys was founded by Randi Johansen in 1995, and today her daughter Marte runs the salon together with two regular stylists. We know our customers – many have sat in our chair since kindergarten and now bring their own children. We believe in honest advice, good craft and a proper chat while you're here. You'll find us right on Storgata, a stone's throw from Stortorget and the harbour.

Do I need an appointment, or can I drop in?
Both work fine. Drop-in is best for cuts, while we recommend booking for colouring and bridal styling so we can set aside enough time.
How do I book bridal styling?
Get in touch well in advance of the wedding. We'll set up a trial appointment first, and agree on whether you'll have your styling done at the salon or at your home on the day.
Do you take children?
Yes, we're happy to cut children's hair and do our best to make the little ones feel safe in the chair. Kids' cuts start at NOK 350.
Where are you, and is there parking?
We're at Storgata 72, right in the centre. The nearest parking is the Stortorget car park a few minutes away.

Do I have to book an appointment?
No, you're always welcome to drop in at Storgata 72. If you want to be sure of a free chair – especially for colouring or bridal styling – we recommend booking an appointment in advance.
What is the cancellation deadline?
Let us know at least 24 hours before your appointment if you need to cancel or reschedule. That way you avoid a fee, and we can offer the time to someone else.
Do you sell gift cards?
Yes, we sell gift cards for any amount or for a specific service. Drop by the salon and we'll sort it out – a great cut or colour makes a lovely gift.
